Writing groups give us courage to continue.
Writing groups nourish the hungry writer.
Writing groups encourage us to be gentle with our own fragile being.
Writing groups teach us respect.
Until you name yourself Writer, you will never be a writer.
Make a place for your writing, a sacred place...
How to get started writing? Write.
In writing groups, we bear witness to each other's efforts.

Writing Groups:
In writing groups we bear witness to each other's efforts, we learn from
one another, and spark each other's creativity. Writing groups provide a
way of transcending our self-centered interests. In writing groups, we
are with kindred spirits speaking a common language with a shared
passion.
Writing groups nurture our self-esteem as writers. Here the writer
is taken seriously, our work is treated with respect and so are we. When
self-doubt comes in on little cat feet, dragging home who knows what, a
writing group can be a source of strength and healing.
Writing groups give us motivation and courage to continue.
